Savoury Sardine Pate

Sardine Pate can be whipped up in minutes. It is tasty and a great alternative to tuna or salmon pate. Sardines are also a fabulous low-cost source of protein.

Suitable for maintenance and levels 1,2,3 and 4

Health Bite: Sardines are packed with 2 omega-3 fatty acids, DHA and EPA, also they are one of the few foods that are rich in vitamin D which is essential for bone health and helps prevent Seasonal Affected Disorder (SAD).

Savoury Sardine Pate 

2 x 120g cans of sardines in oil

250g full-fat cream cheese

2 tbsp capers

6 tbsp finely chopped parsley

squeeze of lemon (optional)

salt and pepper to taste


Place all the ingredients into a food processor and blend till smooth.

Put mixture into a serving bowl and chill.

Serving Suggestion:

This pate goes especially well with crudites such as carrot, celery and pepper. Also works well with gluten/grain-free flatbread.
